Better Together

“…we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work”.

- Ephesians 4:15-16

We’re not an audience. We’re a body.

Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.

- 1 Corinthians 12:27

5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.

- Romans 12:5

We’re not independent. We’re interdependent.

“...the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament...”

- Ephesians 4:16

If they were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, but one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!”

- 1 Corinthians 12:19-21

We’re not spectators. We’re contributors.

“So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up…”

- Ephesians 4:11–12 NIV

“...the whole body... grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”

- Ephesians 4:16 NIV
