Main Thought
A disciple is a student or follower of Jesus. Disciples follow God, fish for people (by sharing the good news about Jesus), and fellowship with the church while being formed into the image of Christ. In the Great Commission, Jesus tells his disciples to “go and make disciples of all nations.” These were the last words from Jesus before he ascended into heaven. For this reason, the Every Nation family values making disciples.
How do we make disciples? We engage individuals, communities, and culture. We establish biblical foundations. We equip people with basic ministry skills. Lastly, we empower disciples to make disciples. Jesus promised to be with us - until the end of the age - as we make disciples. The Holy Spirit gives us comfort, courage, and the power to make disciples.
